Pediatric Symptom Checklist (PSC-17) – Parent Report
Scientific background →The PSC-17 is filled out by a parent or caregiver and asks about a child's behavior and experience across three areas: attention, internalizing symptoms (e.g. sadness, worry), and externalizing symptoms (e.g. rule-breaking, conflict). It's commonly used as a brief first screening tool in pediatric care.
This questionnaire is intended for parents or caregivers and is for self-assessment only. It is not a clinical diagnosis or a child psychiatric/psychological evaluation. If you're concerned about your child's well-being, please reach out to a pediatrician, a child and adolescent therapist, or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988, free and available 24/7 in the US).
